On June 30, 2022, Ellis Rogers Armstrong was born into the arms of Jesus after a full term, healthy pregnancy. We learned her heart stopped beating earlier that day due to a spontaneous, concealed placental abruption.
Through our experience with Ellis, we were able to meet other families that have gone through similar events. After talking with them and analyzing our own experience, we decided there was an opportunity to begin a legacy for Ellis by helping others.
Ellis' older sister, Levy, is often seen rocking her favorite pink outfits. Ellis was supposed to be by her side rocking her favorite lavender ones. Hence, The Lavender Project was named and started in honor of our lavender girl.
Through The Lavender Project, Ellis' purpose in the world is realized by addressing the needs of grieving families who have experienced the sudden loss of a child, and by promoting the truth that each life, whether it lasts 1 day or 100 years, has purpose and meaning that can change the world.
